Every technologist has, for the last half century, declared self-driving cars, fusion power, and strong AI as all being just around the corner.
- quantified 2y agoSome corners are bigger around than others. I don't think credible technologists have put single-digit years (base 10) on their predictions. We had bases on the dark side of the moon by 1999, according to one TV show, but that was just Hollywood TV show writing.
