Astronomers discover 128 new moons orbiting Saturn

• bell-cot 2y ago
Sounds like the "new moons" are all just little debris, from whatever celestial collision formed Saturn's rings. Pluto was downgraded to a "dwarf planet". Is there any term for a bit-player moon?

There isn’t a standard lower definition for what is considered a natural satellite (moon) of a planet. Perhaps there should be though.

      > Perhaps there should... 'Specially for Saturn - where every puny particle in its rings could clamor for "moon" cred.
