- hermitcrab 2y agoI love sci-fi book cover art. However, in my youth, I did read a few stinkers because they had lovely cover art (The 'Lensman' series spring to mind).
- MrMcCall 2y agoIn the Frank Frazetta documentary, I like seeing all the illustrators talking about ripping the Frazetta covers off of books in the bookstore. One of my favorite artists of all-time. And he did it all from imagination. The drarf's chariot being pulled by four polar bears!

- ChrisMarshallNY 2y agoThat’s sad. His stuff always seemed almost impressionistic. Very eye-catching, which was a successful trait. In my yute, I wanted to be a fantasy/sci-fi artist[0], but never really had the heart for all the hard work you need to do. - vlod 2y agoI'm sad that is (probably) going to be a dying industry because of all the AI slop we're seeing.
