Which part of psychology? To me as a layman, getting interested in what makes people tick, how different issues manifest, how bad childhood and especially missing good father figure affects people proved invaluable. But I dont mean clinical psychology, university textbooks etc but rather easy to digest popular stuff from ie Jordan Peterson (before he got addicted and crazy). Understanding (ex)girlfriends, colleagues, parents, politicians, everybody and especially myself. People cant shock or surprise me these days.
