Computing power has advanced and I would say 2008 is slightly too early, but anything from 2010 onwards is absolutely still useable and can run any website with the right OS (yes OS matters as the less computing power used up running the OS, the more available to run programs).
There are frankenpads that allow for usage of the shell, yet the key issue there is making sure ports and screens are modern enough, that is what the general user requires.
- phendrenad2 2y agoWell, you're just wrong. > anything from 2010 onwards is absolutely still useable and can run any website with the right OS Yes, but you sidestepped the real question here. Can it run the website well? > yes OS matters as the less computing power used up running the OS, the more available to run programs I said that hardware was the limiting factor, I didn't say that the OS doesn't matter, however, the OS matters a LOT less.
