I’ve seen like hundreds of articles over the past few years talking about the risks of post-COVID recession? Who exactly was ignoring this? It’s very weird to me that “the media is ignoring this” can become such an overwhelming media narrative, doesn’t at some point the medias overwhelming attention to a thing mean they’re not ignoring it? Usually I’d agree with you, the president doesn’t have that big an impact on macroeconomics, but usually the president doesn’t attack the economy in such an acute way, nor advertise that their plan is to cause a recession.
