Whilst at the EVERY site you should also read The Misfit Who Built the IBM PC. As its title says it's the story of IBM's Boca Raton, Florida division and the team that built the IBM PC led by Don Estridge. Many already know this story and about the tragic death of Estridge in a plane crash (which I well remember from the time) but this account by Gareth Edwards is the best I've read. It's well worth the read.
