- malikNF 2y agoLooks like a global outage. Was asking Grok to help me fine tune a sourdough bread recipe, and it got stuck halfway. Guess we are back to regular ol sourdough today.
- moffkalast 2y agoThis is like that bit from HHGTTG where Arthur asks the ship to make a perfect cup of tea, so it recreates tea from first principles and takes all the compute available, shutting down everything else until the tea is done. Grok is taking over the twitter servers for more batch thinking tokens until the perfect sourdough recipe is complete.

- ggm 2y agoPerhaps some of the alternatives can supply service? Some kind of federated commons would be useful. A useful net. Maybe use-net?
- ethcat 2y agoAt least part of their servers. They used to have a status page (https://status.twitterstat.us/ https://status.twitterstat.us/), but not anymore.
- brohee 2y agoIt's back. But ironically saw it reported down on bsky first... It lasted a good 15mn by the look of it...

- numpad0 2y agoI don't know exactly, but it feels like they likely had multiple substantial backend changes since the acquisition. That story about Musk screeching pulling out racks from an NTT America datacenter was years ago.
