$1 for 8g of protein?
Tuna/sardines are a bargain by that measure.
- throwaway2037 2y agoEggs only have 4 grams of protein each? It is probably 5.5 to 6 grams per egg. Few Americans that I know can stomach eating sardines at the same rate as eggs.
- paulddraper 2y agoOkay, then $1 for 12g. Same point.
- kjkjadksj 2y agoAre you seeing how much a can of sardines go for these days? Somehow they’ve been priced as a delicacy. Even spam isn’t cheap anymore.
- paulddraper 2y ago$1 per 3.75 oz can, with free shipping. [1] So $4.27 per lb. Canned chicken can be cheaper. [1] https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Sardines-in-Water-3-75-oz/380955153 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Sardines-in-Water-3-7...
