The difference is agency or choice.
A Jewish person has no agency in their ethnic or cultural heritage. US citizens do have a choice in voting and US citizenship can be revoked. You cannot change your ethnicity.
- UltraSane 2y agoUS citizenship cannot be really revoked for natural born citizens. The US can't really make someone stateless because where would you deport them to?
