There Is a Liberal Answer to Elon Musk – The Ezra Klein Show [video]
- techpineapple 2y agoI suspect there’s going to be a lot of be careful what you wish for in the next ten years. As I understand it, a lot of the problems in New York and California have to do with the writing of NIMBYISM in law as described by Ezra Klein. But there’s no way most of the people in Texas and Florida want all of these coastal elites moving to their state, particularly not if there liberal? Are Conservative politicians really that confident that their governing abilities are strong enough to handle the huge demographic changes in their states? Will urban centers grow, pushing out the sort of near urban rural folks to other states? Like Dallas is still Democrat run. I live in Portland, and one thing I learned is that things change dramatically when you go from mostly having people who have to learn about why they want to live in your state moving in, to having a place that is advertised as a destination for all.
- ddxv 2y agoThis was an amazing article, but I think the clickbait title didn't help. I get the vague connection to this but it really belittles the content by making it seem like it's about Musk. I 100% agree with Klein, the left needs to admit where it was wrong and START BUILDING things. It's time to remove local regulations that delay and deny housing from being built.
