- ascim 2y agoThat sounds an entirely implausible explanation. If it was just the wrong file, it would have had the original author's name on it. Which it didn't.
- jruohonen 2y agoSo I posted this piece because it is really about our domain also, i.e. about integrity. If you search the archives, there are arguments that arXiv and the like are vanity stuff and whatnot, but, no, there is really a more important function too.
- david-gpu 2y agoThe problem with that is that once the authors upload their manuscript online, the peer reviewers can trivially unblind themselves if they choose to.
