How to Write Useful Commit Messages
- mtlynch 2y agoAuthor here. The vast majority of guides online about writing commit messages focus on superficial details like how long the title is allowed to be. I think it's important to have a consistent style, but those details are much less important than communicating the right details in a commit message and presenting them in a way that makes it easy for teammates and clients to consume the information.
