- jeisc 2y agoReasoning or thinking is faculty of an organism needed to survive in a hostile environment. AI is in petri dish on the shelf in a lab so it has no motivation to do anything besides sit on its behind waiting for its marching orders like a mimic. If and when we bestow life into a program we must before hand define its legal rights to existence and moral duties to its species and ours.
