Just google how the Christmas tree came to be or better yet Christmas itself... the Bible is also just an anthology, a politically (!) hand-picked collection of texts, from various streams which fit the interests of the dominant sect at the time (400+ years after Jesus!). Also... "Christianity began as an outgrowth of Second Temple Judaism,..." [1] It's all related. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible
