When I was teaching, I thought not "I am here to teach you. " but instead "I am here to help you learn", and thought more about structure, direction, and how to provide corrective and constructive feedback to help with the learning. Perhaps that's because as a student, I rarely got anything out of my teachers' slow oration vs more rapid reading and slow working the exercises.
