- Tomte 2y agoWhen I'm reading an article like this (and the follow-up), I need to remind myself that (Free)BSD cannot be blamed for its most rabid "evangelists".
- p_ing 2y agoI don't find the arguments convincing, as someone who loves OpenBSD. There's nothing that jumps out to me that say "oh yeah, that's a great idea to switch away from Linux". Many of the negative quotes about Linux, even from Linus himself, were 5+ years old when the post was written (2020).
- taylodl 2y agoReally, the article is about why you should adopt open source software over "corporate source" software. Viewed in that light, it makes sense that large corporations tend to prefer "corporate source" software, whereas smaller organizations and hobbyists should lean toward open source software.
