Maybe someone smarter than me can tell me why they don't reboot OpenGL? Or better, leave the current run as is for the CAD folk, then run a new API, "OGL-Game".

Maybe someone smarter than me can tell me why they don't reboot OpenGL? Or better, leave the current run as is for the CAD folk, then run a new API, "OGL-Game". Also, I got bored the other day... I can't help but wonder if Valve would push a desktop of their own devising? Anyone know of any interesting hires that may have gone under the radar?
