Mexican Billionaire Slim Cuts Ties with Starlink, Costing Musk $7B After Tweet
- jqpabc123 2y agoTo be such a smart guy, Musk can do some really stupid stuff. He is alienating Tesla buyers all over the world.

- bigyabai 2y agoThought experiment: would you trust Rockefeller or Carnegie to eliminate government waste? I bet both of them would have loved to work free of charge, filling an executive seat at the fed. Same goes for Tim Cook, Larry Ellison, Sundar Pichai... it's a good thing we never made a habit out of nepotism here in America.
- otikik 2y agoHe's not smart. Only very rich.
- arresin 2y agoThis article isn’t interesting and I’m assuming it’s a business decision justified by the “outrage”. Scrolling there’s another article: > Elon Musk Takes to X to Beg Retired Air Traffic Controllers to Return to Work Amid Spate of Air Accidents Honestly, msnbc is like Pravda.
- ceejayoz 2y agoMSNBC would be correct (but this article is posted to MSN, which is separate since 2012, and it's a repost of some site called BallerAlert; the ATC article is by Mediaite). Here's the tweet, though: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1895136616441905228 https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1895136616441905228
- not_your_vase 2y agoHmmm, running out of people to fire, need fresh blood (even if its old)?
- rsynnott 2y ago... But, I mean, he did do that?

- sleepyguy 2y agoAs the US Administration becomes more erratic and Musk continues to meddle in the affairs of other countries, I believe we will see more and more Western countries embrace China and Europe to partner with. I read today that even Russia is beginning to question what is going on because they are having a hard time accepting the fact that the Trump administration would purposefully destroy the country and its relationship with the West. It feels like the wheels are coming off the wagon.
- quantified 2y agoIf Trump strays ineptly from the Russian script, it may discredit them, and create instabilities that do not benefit them. Let's see.
- Zigurd 2y agoHere's another dimension to the stupidity: it's probably going to drive some Boeing customers to Embraer, instead of waiting for their 737MAX to be built. I would add COMAC and Airbus but Airbus will have trouble expanding production, and COMAC might still be too risky. Also Poilievre and the Tories have had to modify their soft-on-Russia stances. Trump is creating blowback that's reducing the effectiveness of influence campaigns elsewhere,
- esbranson 2y agoHope China robs them blind. The negative feelings are an intentional part of the propaganda system. Unfortunately Europe is also under stress from propaganda systems, so even though like the US it's doing just fine, great even, it won't feel that way there either. China is the best bet, North Korea the second.
