- saulpw 2y agoGeez those AI-generated images are terrible. It impugns the entire work, which might very well be interesting and reasonable, but I didn't click through to find out. Stock images would have been better.
- codemusings 2y agoThe AI slop images on this website are honestly such a turn off. Especially considering that BBSs are all about text.

- glenneroo 2y agoSort of off-topic but in chapter 0x02 it mentions: > I'd recommend PuTTY. It's used less often these days but previously was a popular way to use SSH (Secure Shell) functionality on windows. What are people using besides PuTTY?
- orev 2y agoI’m still a PuTTY user, but many people use Windows Terminal and the openssh client that’s now available as a Windows feature package. If I’m not using PuTTY, I usually go for Cygwin/Mintty.

- haxorjim 2y agoYeah this is what I'd use too. Otherwise nothing wrong with PuTTY if you're emotionally attached
- haxorjim 2y agoAuthor here. Those complaining about the AI images probably also complained about Ansi art back in the day. Each image is themed to the content of the article if you paid attention. But doesn't bother me if you don't want to read. Doing this for me, and those who enjoy it. No more no less.
- the_rara_avis 2y agoI'm sorry, what? Who was complaining about generated slop ANSI art back in that time? Did I manage to live and participate through a period of time and miss some massive controversy? Educate me, please. I understand you being upset by comments re: your site's AI slop and you do you with respect to that but haxorjim, please, cite your sources here.
