(Nazi Germany and Putin's Russia being the classical examples of democracies going authoritarian).
- fcatalan 2y agoHungary, Turkey, India, Venezuela come to mind. Poland, Brazil are also recent near misses. South Korea also had a recent oops. So a well trodden path.
