You need an accelerator to get traction, you need traction for an accelerator
- peter_d_sherman 2y ago>"Once I learned the above two things, here’s what I did: o Instead of trying to get into big accelerators, I started off by joining smaller founder communities like LOI (Canada), OnDeck, Mercury Raise. They give you enough perks, network, traction to start building up momentum. o Switched to delivering services over software. Instead of selling an SEO software for $200/mo, I delivered outcome based services instead for $2K/mo. Within 3 months, I was at $10K MRR. If I had continued doing software, it would have taken many more months to ever get close to that number." Well done! I especially like the "join smaller founder communities" idea -- that one is a keeper!
- ozim 2y agoProblem is consuming too much „founder porn”. Smaller communities one is overlooked because people think they can go with their idea to PG and get funded because they are so smart. OP got corrected and learned his lesson - but he also wasted some time and money trying to get into big accelerators.
- hoppp 2y agoDo what everyone else and fake the traction.
- joanfihu 2y agoYou need a product that people want to get traction… Then you can accelerate.
