For his voters it's mostly true though. He doesn't talk down to them or make them feel challenged by what they don't know. Socially, we tend to be embarrassed about our ignorance, not happy to learn. That's a destructive socialization.
- onecommentman 2y agoNot just “his voters”, but for every American whose life doesn’t involve interacting with foreign nationals outside of the Americas…95%+ of Americans. Makes him sound folksy. Outside of academics, everyday common sense life is not a Double Jeopardy round. War is how Americans learn their world geography and Lesotho has been blessed with remaining off the global military stage. It’s actually a complement to the Lesotho government that Americans like Trump haven’t heard of them.
