From the article, I particularly liked the bit about math being useful to doctors so that they can learn to succeed in the face of a challenging subject... as if medicine isn't enough of a challenge in itself. I would certainly like to see more statistics in high school math, since people are bombarded with bad stats every day through the media and just swallow it up without thinking. It's hard to agree that other aspects should be dropped though (although I am in favour of repurposing some math courses to better meet the needs of the students).
