I can't see myself ever paying for Youtube. Not because it is not valuable but paying for Youtube doesn't remove any of the dark patterns. Paying for Youtube won't let me remove shorts, hide recommendations, block channels or fix the abysmal UI. Coincidentally I can and do fix all of this with uBlock so Google can stuff it. I'll pass.
