Show HN: Emergency Landing Challenge – Interactive Story-Based Math Learning
I've built an interactive learning platform where students solve math problems to complete a mission-critical emergency aircraft landing. Your math skills determine if the plane crashes or lands safely.
*Note- The UI and product is optimized for PC. Kindly test it there and not on mobile.
How it works:
1. You're the pilot of an aircraft losing altitude with engine failure
2. Each decision requires solving a real-world math problem (weight calculations, glide ratios, landing mechanics)
3. Your answers determine the story's outcome with appropriate animations
4. AI provides contextual feedback and explanations
The prototype teaches core math concepts for grades 4-8 through high-stakes storytelling rather than abstract problems. I'm planning to release new mission modules weekly.
Question level, types and topics can be set according to target class. Same animation and story can be used multiple times with different level according to student grade.
Specifically looking for feedback on:
a. Is the difficulty level appropriate?
b. Would you use this with your kids/students?
c. What other missions would be compelling?
