I had a brother for 12 years. It finally died. It took about 5 minutes to see that I would not be replacing it with another. Canon for now.

- viknesh 2y agoJust replaced a 17 year old Brother with a new one. Seems to work just as well, although I've always been using first party cartridges.
- wazoox 2y agoI had a Canon about 20 years ago. Getting it to work with Linux was incredibly difficult and finicky, and required some piece of proprietary software at some point. So my gut feeling about Canon is "never again", though the situation may have evolved.
