- tasn 2y agohttps://archive.org/details/doom-play https://archive.org/details/doom-play or any of the other ones linked at the bottom of that page.
- yjftsjthsd-h 2y agoI dunno about "recommended", but a quick search turns up several options, the most interesting of which (IMHO) is https://js-dos.com/DOOM/ https://js-dos.com/DOOM/ (mostly because it looks like a generic "dosbox in web technologies" and that's sweet)
- pastage 2y agoThere are many variants of DOOM in the browser vanilla DOOM is easy but these are cooler https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42607794 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42607794 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42566112 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42566112
- paulryanrogers 2y agoTechnically "Doom, the Gallery Experience" isn't running on any idTech. It's just reusing some of the art and sound.
- ge96 2y agotangent: after playing Eternal, damn all other Doom is just slow... Dark Ages is coming out I'm pumped Also reading Masters of Doom, Carmack and I have something in common ha (went to a form of jail)

- ed_mercer 2y agoNot exactly recommended but this also exists https://doompdf.pages.dev/doom.pdf https://doompdf.pages.dev/doom.pdf
- tempodox 2y agoIf you can play Doom on your electric toothbrush, there has to be a browser version.
