- bediger4000 2y agoJoshua Kirby, given the byline of that story, is UK educated. The Wall Street Journal is quintessentially US. Looks to me like "it's a typo" could be true or false, or just lucky.
- taylodl 2y agoWe're about to witness the greatest wealth transfer in history. Create a depression, depress asset valuations, buy assets from desperate people for pennies on the dollar. IIRC, Musk pretty much laid out this plan before the election.
- schmidtleonard 2y agoBut his wealth is overwhelmingly in the form of assets. If his Balance Sheet looked like Warren Buffet's balance sheet with a large and growing cash position, sure, maybe that could work, but it doesn't.
