National stereotypes...
Italy's the 3rd largest economy in the EU, and 8th in the world, with an advanced technology sector to boot.
And if they somehow cannot figure it out, their French neighbors most assuredly can.
- aw4y 2y agonot exactly a stereotype, just facts. for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponte_Morandi_collapse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponte_Morandi_collapse and also check what happens (now more than ever) everytime there's a big rain in a lot of italian places. I'm very concerned about this.
- Recursing 2y agoBridge failures regularly happen in many countries, including France and South Korea: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bridge_failures#2000%E2%80%93present https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bridge_failures#2000%E...

- SecretDreams 2y agoIf you're worried about this, you should probably avoid flying in America.
- pjmlp 2y agoAs Portuguese, and regarding how things work there, regardless of whatever achievements get acomplished, the ways how to do business and handle bureaucracy walls aren't very far from stereotypes, even if it was improved during the last decades. I assume same applies in Italy, given that we share some of those stereotypes.
- regularjack 2y agoI'm portuguese and I completely disagree with this. Stereotypes are just stereotypes, generalizing 10M people into a dumbed down pseudo reality doesn't make sense.
- lillecarl 2y agoIt makes less sense the further from the stereotypical thing you go. It's nuclear, not burning clothes or giving your uncle the building contract.
- pjmlp 2y agoThen I can tell you that the favours culture is as actual as ever, maybe we hang around in different parts of the country. Additionally, one just has to watch the news to see how it works, especially among our beloved politicians and major economical groups, should I list them here for our foreign friends? Or are you going to say it is all fake news?
- Idesmi 2y agoI am Italian and currently live in Italy, and don't trust my government with building nuclear plants. As long as the people in power are famous for lying and twisting reality, we should not touch nuclear.
- braiamp 2y agoWould you welcome your comrades Russian when they roll over your country? No? Then deterrent is the only option.
