Doge wants to charge one federal agency millions of dollars for its work
- redeux 2y agoDid congress allocate funds for this? Was there a bidding process? Why wasn't the now defunct 18F given this job? Where will the requested $4 million go? This sure doesn't seem like an efficient use of tax dollars.
- JumpCrisscross 2y agoNo, let’s be clear, this is theft of federal funds. At the very least they should be clawed back in the future. But that depends on DOGE not destroying evidence before it can be collected and publicised.

- ndsipa_pomu 2y agoThis strikes me as Doge getting rid of 18F and then inserting themselves into a similar role. Presumably Doge would want to be more involved than just providing technology and services though.
- ttyprintk 2y agoEveryone has expenses. If they’re not paid above the table, they might need to find another way.
