I have not found the air fryer to cook in the same way as my toaster. The AirFryer is essentially still an oven (at least mine is) with the heat coming predominantly from the top, leading to some form of "double baked" bread, which IMHO isn't the same as toasted (where the bread can be crisp on the outside but still soft in the middle)
