I built SunPark to solve a frustrating problem that I kept encountering during beach trips in Florida which is finding a place to park near the beach where I am heading
SunPark is a web app that helps you find and navigate to convenient beach parking spots. I focused on making it simple for now.
I'd appreciate feedback on:
1. The UI/UX - is it intuitive enough for first-time users?
2. Performance on mobile devices
3. Additional features that would be useful
The app is currently focused on simply finding the nearest beach parking spots to the user, I plan to add more features like more information about amenities for each parking lot. You can try it at https://sunpark.app/ https://sunpark.app/.
This is my first time building a mapping-oriented app, so any insights from those who've worked on similar projects would be greatly appreciated!
- wonger_ 2y agoNice, I was about to go to the beach today. Pretty useful. How do you get the data? On mobile: every time I type in the search box, the app closes my keyboard. I think it's every few letters, on the debounce function? I'm using Android Chrome and Firefox.
- anasaly 2y agoI got the data from official Municipal ArcGIS data hubs that are available for free online. Thank you for pointing out the issue with the search bar. I'll make sure to fix it soon!
