One thing to keep in mind, is that the US narrative that EU is helpless and can't defend itself, is quite false. Europe GDP >>>> Russia GDP. When you combine EU armies, you get an airforce larger and more modern than Russia, same for troops. We also got nukes. If a war between Europe (including UK here) and Russia erupts, Russia would loose pretty quickly. That would take some leadership and united front from Europe, but in case of a war, I don't doubt it would happen.
