Ask HN: Better to have separate names for the company and SaaS, or one for both?
- ano-ther 2y agoOne. Building a brand is hard enough and at least in the beginning you don’t want to get distracted (and confuse others) by ”we are from $company, you know the ones making $productWithATotallyDifferentName“. Later you can then rename your holding to Alphabet or Meta.
- chairmansteve 2y agoAgreed. I work for a company that has separate names. Confuses customers and prospects.
- 3Samourai 2y agoYeah, it’s what I thought at first, but a VC suggested the two names for easier scalability. That’s why I’m asking HN.
