Having the exact opposite experience is how I realized that a major relocation is in my relatively near future. The longer the adventure, the more disconnected and odd home would feel upon return. My family/friend situation is most likely a bit different though, for reasons that would make this comment far too long. It's time for a reset (~40ish).
