I think they banned a lot of people and reddit seems like a less lively place today, even if that doesn't match officially released numbers. But you can see less and less users being active. And that includes a random selection of subs, not only for specific topics. I guess half of really active users just got banned. But the platform overall seems to become niche compared to new alternatives. Not only nice alternatives though.
