I think this is a unique and insightful natural experiment demonstrating how quickly someone in a position of power is willing to update their belief system (or, if not update it, at least take very public action through their authority regardless of their belief system) due to change in current events.

"People should not do the thing!" "Sir it's your job to make sure everyone doesn't get measles." "People should do the thing!" I do wonder if it is current events, or if it much has just being granted power... people are surprisingly willing to do a job that has bestowed on them. The biggest rebel will quickly become the most strict hall monitor and so on. Having said all that, I'm worried about this administration's ability to suddenly turn on a dime in situations where you simply can't turn on a dime and do any good.

The uncertainty is frustrating, but it seems there is, occasionally, the will to do the needful. I’ll take it if it saves lives.

Proof that the person's original "belief" was based on something other than reason.

Actually, RFK Jr. has for some time been well-known by the staunchest anti-vaxxers to actually be pro-vax. (But for some reason RFK Jr has been represented by the media, both mainstream and popular-alternative, as some kind of anti-vaxx leader. Wonder why that is?) He's been considered a sell-out for at least 5 years among the anti-vaxxers who consider themselves the most "informed". Nothing to see here really. Not news really and not surprising in the least, IMO.

He's been "represented by the media, both mainstream and popular-alternative, as some kind of anti-vaxx leader" because he has gone on record multiple times questioning the efficacy of vaccines and advocating for people not to take them. Just because there are people even crazier than he is doesn't change the reality of his beliefs. Don't giga-brain your way into the wrong conclusion, occam's razor is right there. But just for the readers at home who may want to buy this bs, here's RFK _on video_ with Lex Friedman, timestamped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPtBkw5uD-0&t=6938s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPtBkw5uD-0&t=6938s "There's no vaccine that is safe and effective", "the polio vaccine causes cancer". Says the man with brain worms.

Wow, thank you for providing this source. I was about to respond to this news with something like "that RFK jr. is not anti vaccine but pro safe vaccine". But after seeing this I see that he is just a flip flopper
