Show HN: Vibecoders – Find software engineers that are good at vibecoding
If you are concerned about AI replacing your coding job, fear not! Just level up and get very good at vibecoding.
"Vibe coding is the art of leveraging AI tools to their fullest potential in software development, creating a seamless fusion between human creativity and machine intelligence. It represents a paradigm shift where developers orchestrate AI systems rather than writing every line manually."
The big tools out there are cursor, cline, aider, and Claude Code.

This site was made with Claude Code from just 1 prompt. Go ahead and register and give your bio, github url, etc and you can be one of the early users. The idea is that people looking to build something can now go to just one person and really get in a few days what took a team and weeks before.
Yes, the 10x or 100x engineer is no longer a myth.
Here was prompt that made the site:
You are to build the website vibecoders.com. It is a place to find software engineers that are very good at vibecoding:

Use that quote on the homepage. Use tailwindcss and either esbuild or vite and not npm. You can use React or another front end javascript system. The backend should be in golang using the echo framework. Please keep main.go in the root directory and not inside a cmd directory. Use sqlite for the database. The tables are:
users
- unique username
- bio
- linked_in_url
- github_url
- photo_url
- password
sessions
- user_id
- token (random uuid)
Seed the database with 3 users

The homepage should list the top 3 users. Make the photos rounded and a width of 200.
The backend should have api endpoints like
POST /api/login (compare password and insert session into database and return cookie)
DELETE /api/logout (delete the session token from database and cookie)
POST /api/register (compare two passwords, insert user row and then send user to login)
PATCH /api/user (update the currently logged in user from cookie)
GET /api/homepage-users
The frontend should be a responsive layout that looks great on mobile and desktop. There should be clear ways to login, register, update your user info, and logout. Use a dark theme.
- collingreen 2y agoClever. I appreciate the write up.
- swyx 2y agolook, i'm as big an andrej fan as the next guy but this has gotten entirely out of hand. he's not actually recommending this as a best practice or certainly not a differentiator to hire people on. this is going to fall on deaf ears but lets take a chill pill on blowing every single thing he says out of proportion okay
- xnx 2y agoFor business tools, I'd take a domain expert who understands process and can vibe code over a junior coding grad.
- mpalmer 2y agoYou'll want to price out handling when the domain expert's code breaks, and the exponentially increasing inference costs as the code grows.
- JTyQZSnP3cQGa8B 2y agoI’ve heard this a thousand times: You know that small stupid tool you wrote last week? Everyone is using it and you must adapt it to all our services (let’s say 100) by the end of the week. Ask if you need help, we’ll ignore you because we don’t have any specs. Also as OP said: "a domain expert who understands process" What happens when that expert retires?
- csto12 2y agoI honestly can’t tell if this is satire or not
- mac3n 2y agoyour manager thinks this is serious who cares what you think?
