I'm seeing reasonably clean use of function pointers without the usual tangle of opaque macros. This kind of pattern easily turns into a mess if you get too clever with it, but I quite like what I'm seeing here. (I suspect autotools will have traumatised anyone long before they manage to get GTK2 to compile on a modern system!)
