Designating English as the Official Language of the United States
- ggm 2y agoI would expect some push back but for latinx in particular it's possible long standing immigrants are proud of bilingualism and want English as state language to stamp their difference from more recent entries. I know CA nearly passed a Spanish language proposition some years back. But, in all these things "it's complicated"

- yawpitch 2y agoAmericans don’t speak English, they speak American. Just ask anyone in England.
