- scarab92 2y agoThe point is likely to bring attention to the lack of effective performance management processes within the public service. Departments who don't want to follow Musk's approach will need to develop or improve their own processes to better identify and remove underperformers.
- mft_ 2y ago…or improve underlying work processes, presumably? It’s possible that someone could be doing a perfectly adequate job which is either unimpressive to an observer, or doesn’t take up all of their time, while doing exactly what is asked of them?
- Ferret7446 2y agoThis is the problem with modern politics. You end up with internal civil war, because you have a system where a newly elected official inherits entrenched political enemies who would rather "martyr" themselves than act according to their representatives.
