When my day job used Azure we had the misfortune of using their managed Postgres instance, the latency of which was _appalling_. We raised support tickets, which were mostly closed to the tune of “seems fine to us”. They seemed to think 20-30ms for a basic Postgres query, which for the same schema, data and hardware was <7ms on RDS.
