How ironic considering that the modern day use of the term "axis of evil" was coined by George W. Bush of all people to justify the Iraq war. And I thought Republicans couldn't get any worse back then.
- steve_adams_86 2y agoYes, as a teen I thought it was so absurd that the world wasn't deeply disturbed by the rhetoric and actions of the neo cons back then. Today, I would gladly take those idiots back.
- soraminazuki 2y agoI think many were disturbed back then. Heck, Obama even campaigned on it. It's just that nothing was done to meaningfully rectify it. What concerns me even more today is that the narrative surrounding the Iraq war has shifted. Basic things like who started the war and for what purpose are lost in discussions. Even the liberal media sometimes seem to forget that it happened at all when talking about the military industrial complex. It's surreal, seeing all this 1984 BS playing out in the open.
