A gift is one person giving something to another. An inheritance is ultimately someone else's kids giving your kid something.
- c22 2y agoI could only see this statement being accurate in a world where each generation of kids was synchronized into a discrete quanta. The continuous and arbitrary nature of birth and death in the real world makes this viewpoint somewhat incoherent to me.
