How could Spotify align with artists?
- rglullis 2y agoMake it a music locker service with a small subscription price and have an addon where 100% of the revenue goes to a pool of artists that make their catalog available there.
- tartoran 2y agoSpotify isn't a charity, it's there to rip off artists as well as the users calling it a service.
- Hasu 2y agoYou ask this as if there are no competing companies that are more aligned with artists. Tidal pays them more. Bandcamp pays them even more and lets them run their own storefront.
- Yeul 2y agoWho cares about the artists? Spotify has to pay the music labels. If they are happy nothing else matters. Not Spotify's fault that artists sign bad deals.
