Is Dogecoin really a 'memecoin'? Is Musk involved in any way?
My understanding is that it's from the original doge meme wave and was responsible for the dogeification of Musk.
It seems like a FOSS community project that started as a meme and snowballed into a 2nd tier coin. It doesnt smell very musky to me.

- lawn 2y agoMusk has used Dogecoin as the vehicle of a pump and dump before, where he has promoted the coin and at one point made Tesla accept it for payments. After that he lost interest (the dump part).
