When was Microsoft known for being anything but a provider of bloated software?
- userbinator 2y agoThey were known for relative stability and best in backwards-compatibility, until around the Win8 era.
- Eddy_Viscosity2 2y agoThe world runs on legacy software, this is super important. At some point it seems like all industries start with providing useful things people want through creation and competition, and then flip to monopolistic exploitation. How can we keep the first part of this cycle and some how stop it from getting to the second?
