I guess I never read deeply on the subject, but Agentforce never felt all that grounded to me. It seemed like a tagline without a real underlying strategy. This I guess gets to Satya Nadella's recent observation that AI is "generating basically no value" but AI seems to still be globally in the like product/market fit stage, seemed odd to me to announce you were staking the entire company on an unproven AI bet.
Also one that's at a higher level of abstraction on a foundation that is fundamentally shaky.
- toomuchtodo 2y agoPurveyors of AI are desperate for it to show value to sell to investors, because without it, growth will be a struggle at current cost of capital and existing product lines and their revenue. It’s a Hail Mary. Otherwise, all they have is the usual cost controls: offshoring (Salesforce, Workday, Starbucks, etc), cutting labor costs to the bone, etc. to maintain their profitability demands and growth expectations being sold to investors.
