Was WordPress not a fork of someone else's work? Why the double standard?

  WPE could have forked if they wanted to as I mentioned in my comment, that'd be fine. But they didn't. And then they sued to try and tell WordPress what they could and couldn't do with their own project.

      It's literally in their lawsuit - they are upset about changes made to WordPress and to WordPress.com - two projects they have no rights to.
